Teacher Tour at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum

As an educator, how can you help facilitate student learning at the museum? The museum contains a wide variety of specimens and information, which can be catered to learners of all ages. On this unique tour, appropriate for teachers of all grades and ages, you will explore strategies to utilize the Beaty Biodiversity Museum as part of your teaching plan. Learn about the museum’s collections, programs, activities, resources, and more!

Note that parking is not included with this session. Please plan to carpool or take public transit. This is an excursion, located at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum. 

Please meet in the gift shop area of the museum. The tour will last 45-60 minutes, and the rest of your excursion time is reserved for self-guided exploration. If you attended this session in 2016, please note that the tour will contain the same content.

Target Audience

K-12, support teachers, aides, librarians, early learning specialists, administrators, etc.

What to bring

Teachers should wear comfortable shoes, as we will be walking on the tour. If you wish, bring a tablet, camera (no flash), and/or a notepad to record your observations and thoughts.

No food or drink in the museum, please finish your coffee or snacks before the session.
