Asking the Right Questions

Questions are integral to learning, but which questions are the best launching pads for inquiry-based learning?  Essential questions are excellent starting points for our students.  Using Science World’s hands-on activities, we will analyze essential questions, formulate them, and discuss how to implement them to support student inquiry.

Samsara Marriott

A veteran secondary school science teacher, Samsara Marriott has over 15 years of experience working with teens in high schools, hospital settings, drop-in programs and travel education. She is now Science World’s Youth Program Specialist and enjoys promoting teen learning and collaborating with others who support youth.

Friderike Moon

Dr Friderike Moon began her science career at the University of Kassel in Germany with a Master's degree in human biology and physiology.  She is currently the curator of Science World’s BodyWorks Gallery and active in science outreach with Future Science LeadersScientists and Innovators in the Schools and the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology.
