#getoutside: Imaginative Resources For Cross-Curricular, Place-Based Learning In Your Schoolyard

Schoolyards tend to be underused resources for learning. The resources I will share in this session support meaningful, cross-curricular learning in any schoolyard. For example, combining imagination, bodily engagement, and place-based education practices, the “Walking Curriculum” opens up many opportunities for student engagement—all sparked by different schoolyard explorations. I will also describe other place-based practices and programs that combine inquiry, exploration, and imagination with outdoor learning opportunities. Come and get activities you can use immediately with your students!  Learn more about Imaginative Education and Imaginative Ecological Education in advance at #imaginED www.educationthatinspires.ca
