Labour History Walking tour of Downtown Vancouver

The walking tour will focus on downtown Vancouver where the stories and history of working people are revealed as we explore the early development of the city and province. The walk will focus on highlights that are profiled in the lesson materials for the acclaimed film series; Working People: A History of British Columbia as featured on the TeachBC site.



This workshop will take place offsite at:
We will meet next to the torch at Jack Poole Plaza at 12:30. If raining, wait under shelter of Convention Centre Building.

What to bring

Good walking shoes are required as well as appropriate clothing for whatever weather elements are presented on the day of the tour.

Wayne Axford

Wayne is a "mostly" retired Social Studies teacher from Burnaby who on occasion is back in the classroom as a TOC. He has decades of experience in teaching Social Studies and has provided leadership at the district and provincial  levels, in assessment and  curriculum and professional development.
