Healthy Youth Relationships

This workshop will introduce the Red Cross Respect Education Healthy Youth Relationships (HYR) program which is ERAC-certified and ready-to-go for incorporation into the new Physical Health and Education 10 curriculum (previously Planning 10). Teachers will easily be able to pull out relevant lessons as they need them in order to meet the curriculum competencies for social and community health and mental well-being. Workshop participants will gain skills to teach teens how to build healthy relationships and prevent dating violence. The workshop will also include discussions of: personal boundaries, gender identity and sexual orientation, sexting, and consent.
