A Safe Place to Share – Racialized & Marginalized Teachers in Educationunique opportunity

A discussion and activity based workshop for marginalized members of our union. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a safe space to discuss sensitive issues that racialized workers  face in the work place. We hope to start the conversation on how to counteract forces of marginalization and oppression which causes personal angst, mental health issues, and overall disengagement with the union.

The goal is to solicit feedback on how to build capacity within our STA structure that addresses the concerns of our racialized members.

Handouts provided on issues ranging from the social justice lens, to prejudice and intersectionality.
