Discovering Canada's North

Have you ever wanted to know more about life in Canada’s newest territory, Nunavut? Have you ever struggled to pronounce some of the names of the places in Nunavut, like its capital city Iqaluit? If so, this is the workshop for you! In this workshop participants will learn what day-to-day life is like in the remote communities of Nunavut, and how to read and write basic words in Inuktitut, the language of the Inuit people. This workshop will feature pictures and stories from the presenter’s experiences in Nunavut, and give participants the chance to practice reading and writing basic Inuktitut.
