SUMDOG -- A Math Program that Engages Every Student

SUMDOG is an online program that uses the latest 21st century technology to connect Math with Online Gaming. This program is available on any device and can be played anywhere with an internet connection.

Having used it at my school for many years now, I can attest that students are fully engaged with the games, using the Math skills they have learned over the years.

The basic setup is freely accessible for any teacher. There is a subscription feature, which unlocks more games, more reports, and customization.

I am hoping to be set up in a computer room, but if you would like to bring your own device (laptop, iPad, etc), please feel free to do so.


Oliver Lesum

After graduating from the University of Victoria in 2008, Oliver Lesum completed his PDP quickly thereafter and turned it into a B.Ed. in 2009. He is currently a LST teacher at Hjorth Road Elementary School since 2015. At his school he is in charge of all IT devices and really enjoys experimenting with new web 2.0 tools, apps, programs in order to engage every student in the classroom. Oliver always looks for new ways to incorporate technology into the school\'s classrooms. Outside of teaching he is a father to three beautiful children, a dog owner, and a sports enthusiast.
