K-12 Photoshop for Beginners

If you have never experimented with Photoshop before, then this is the workshop for you. You will learn how to edit personal photos, create task cards, and manipulate images found online, to better suit your lesson plans. No experience necessary - the less you know, the better!

Target Audience

All Grades K-12

To Bring/Important Notes

All Surrey School staff laptops have Adobe Creative Cloud installed. Teachers and other main staff are given licence to all Adobe apps. Once they sign into Adobe Creative Cloud using their Surrey Schools account, they will be able to install any Adobe app themselves. Here is the Sway link showing how to use Adobe CC. If teachers do not have access to their own computers (with photoshop), they will need to have their own laptop computers, and ideally, a mouse.

Presenter

  • Emily Vanderark

Hi there. My name is Emily, and I have been using Photoshop for almost tweny years. I use it regularly to edit personal photos, make infographics, mind maps, task cards, genealogy trees, posters, etc. I edit community photos, and have had my photos appear in online magazines. I have no official training in Photoshop, but I want to help introduce you to this amazing program, so that you too can become skilled at making images and visual documents look the way you want. Trust me - I will make this fun and easy for you :)
