Connecting Children with Nature

Take children outside and reap the benefits of place-based learning in nature - you don't need to be an expert naturalist to use the outdoor classroom effectively!  This workshop includes experiential strategies, practical teaching tools, and group management tips.  We will explore cross-curricular activities that heighten sensory awareness, focus learning, and use critical inquiry skills to engage students with nature and the world around them. Dress for the weather outside. Hand-outs included.
