Teachers will explore their own beliefs, their lens and their ability to remain flexible when challenging behaviour occurs and its impact on the classroom. Teachers will develop an understanding of their strengths as an individual and as a classroom community. Teachers will explore the research that informs current behaviour support, trauma understanding, and approaches to challenging behaviour. If time, teacher will leave with example of a proactive classroom management plan.

MandiBA MST is the Neurodiversity Consultant for E.P.I.C. Consulting Collaborative in Alberta/BC and the Special Needs Coordinator for E2 Academy in Edmonton, Alberta. Her wide variety of experience as a trainer for the Low Arousal Approach along with advanced training in Collaborative Proactive Solution and Natural Play Therapy in addition to providing wrap-around support and advocacy services for families and school leadership afford her an interesting and effective approach to supporting a trauma-informed and low arousal classroom.
