Reciprocal Teaching to Support Reading Comprehension

Reciprocal Teaching is an evidence-based instructional routine integrating several high-yield comprehension strategies into a coherent structure that can be used with a variety of text types. Reciprocal teaching has been proven effective for diverse learners at all stages of comprehension development, including multilingual students. This practical session will focus on RT procedures, lesson structure, assessment, and useful tips for success. This virtual session will be helpful to teachers designing comprehension focused instruction and intervention for students in Grades 3 - 7.
