Making Poems Pop: Reading & Writing Like A Poet

Join us for a journey into poetry! We'll peek behind the curtains at some of the key aspects of contemporary poetry, such as intent, diction, imagery, and form, and we'll turn our thinking into some of our own fantastic poems.

What to expect: a mix of mini-lesson, exemplars, and writing prompts, along with modelling that you can make your own. We're going to take poems apart to see how they work, and we're going to build our own from scratch. Bring your questions, bring your brain, and bring your writer's notebook. See you there!
