K-12 Creating Positive Environments in School Settings

This interactive workshop will introduce attendees to a range of practical tools for supporting individuals with autism and other diversabilities. Educators will be introduced to strategies to enhance their communication, use visual supports, increase predictability and structure and boost motivation and positive behaviour.

This workshop is a combinations of lecture style and online discussion.

    Taylor Sands is the Training Coordinator at Canucks Autism Network (CAN) where she oversees the bookings for over 200 live training workshops and community engagement events for recreation, sport, businesses, first responders, and schools. She is also a Behaviour Interventionist and has been working with individuals with autism for over 10 years. With a history of directly delivering autism training workshops and welcoming and leading school field trips at Fort Langley National Historic Site, Taylor has a strong background in supporting educators to provide inclusive and welcoming spaces for individuals with autism.
