SECONDARY Making Finance Fun for Students

Make financial literacy fun with PowerPlay Money Managers. This easy-to-use resource for grades 10-12 makes learning relevant. In this highly interactive online session, you will learn to achieve learning outcomes with dynamic games & hands-on activities. To get the most out of this workshop, please have a pen and paper, one die (to play a dice game), a jar or glass that has an opening at the top about that is about 3 inches in diameter and a handfull of coins (pennies are great) or washers, and be prepared to have fun.


Students will:

  • Have fun exploring financial topics, developing practical skills and building positive attitudes about money.
  • Become aware of financial issues (budgeting, investing, loans, credit cards) & learn about related products and services.
  • Develop a financial plan for their first year after high school.
  • Participate in lively & meaningful discussions.
