Sons et saveurs de la francophonie

Join us to converse and discover how humour, music, sights and sounds of French can motivate teens to engage in learning. Consider how providing a focus and guiding parameters can intrigue students to make choices to discover authentic materials either individually or in developing essential competencies through group collaboration.  A document which overviews the examples presented will be offered to participants to use or to modify to suit needs. Participants are encouraged to bring a computer.

NB This workshop is offered in French.

    Rachel Hare

Since immigrating to Canada, Rachel has learned and lived many adventures and experiences because of her interest in French. After becoming a teacher, Rachel shared her passion for "everything french" at elementary and secondary school.  Come listen, laugh and learn about francophone culture.  Ask yourself and your students, can you find French funny? How do we identify with the french music we choose to listen to? Where can we really, truly find french "stuff " close to home?
