LIBRARY The BC Digital Classroom – District Education Staff/TL Focus

The BC Digital Classroom is a Collection of 17 core online content resources that are **free** to Schools in the Surrey School District (with no login or passwords required).   This “hands on” session is intended for District Education Staff and TLs who are seeking an overview of all the resources offered.  A look at the resources available and their licensed / intended grade levels to help staff direct and support their use.  In addition, participants will learn how to use advanced search features to adjust/find different reading levels, have it read aloud, learn through video, search by limiting Lexile levels, or translate the information sources to various languages.     Mike has been providing professional development and in-service to teachers for over 25 years.  He has taught from elementary to the graduate level and has a wide range of experience to draw upon to provide enriching workshops for all.  With 12 years as a Technology Coordinator for a large school district and running a technology consulting business, he has many insights on ways to integrate technology.  Mike is the Coordinator of Professional Learning for FocusED and the Past President of the Computer Using Educators of BC PSA.
