Digital Citizenship for Primary Grades

From a very young age, children are learning to use portable digital devices.  Have they been taught about safety?  Do they know what appropriate behaviour is when using these devices?  As teachers, we have an opportunity to teach children how to have positive relationships with digital media and information and communication technologies. Please join me to learn more about teaching Digital Citizenship to students in the primary grades.

This workshop will:

  • present information about why teaching Digital Citizenship is important.
  • introduce how to teach Digital Citizenship in the primary grades.
  • give an overview of some learning resources and children’s literature available to teach Digital Citizenship, that you can look through.
  • offer activities that you can take away and use in your classroom right away!
