CALM: Mindfulness for Teachers

Mindfulness can have many benefits in our lives, including reduced stress and anxiety, happier relationships, and increased calmness, self-compassion and joy. In this in-person workshop, through education, experiential exercises and discussion we will explore mindfulness and related tools for growing our presence, joy, and effectiveness in life and the classroom. Emphasis will be placed on cultivating teachers' own mindfulness, and different mindfulness practices will be introduced and practiced. Teachers will leave with practical tools to help them navigate the stresses of teaching and life, and to feel calmer and more joyful. Hand-outs will be provided, to assist with incorporating the learning in life and the classroom.
