Beginning with drama and theatre activity games/exercises, this workshop will:
+ lead into using literature to create a theatre 'production' making the material come to life.
+ effective analysis of a theatre piece - believability of the character, defining the motivation, using when, where, who, why to create a truth.
+ moving from creative drama into live theatre (drama can be unrehearsed, improvised, and not include an audience; theatre is prepared for an audience, regardless of who the audience is)
Not intense; but rather for anyone with little to no experience in theatre (teachers and students alike). Add another layer of learning, fun, creativity, and collaboration into your classroom language arts.
