The diversity faced by the educators in today’s classroom is exciting and challenging in many ways. Our students are coming from varied backgrounds, strengths, and learning needs. This interactive session will address the strategies and best practices that foster language and literacy skills across the curriculum. It will explore how educators can help scaffold differentiated and student-centered learning environments through games and weblinks that encourage multiple competencies for our students to be successful today and into the future!

Jayashree Ramaswami is an Early Literacy Teacher with Surrey Schools. She is a passionate educator who looks for innovative ways to address the literacy needs in diverse classrooms. She has delivered multiple sessions to educators locally, at a national and international level. She has completed the TESOL ELT Leadership Management program. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as English Literature, and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership.
