Dance is the best way to teach the musical objectives of beat, form, expression, articulation, rhythm, metre as well as teaching the kids body and spatial awareness. Incorporating dance into your music program engages your class and keeps them active. Sonja will teach you one of her more popular choreographed dance numbers and walk you through its creation. She always includes a section for student group choreography so students have an opportunity to be creative and share what they have created. Participants will learn the dances in their homes and have a reference video to remember the dance for future teaching. Sonja will send notes of the choreographies by email as well. Wear comfy clothes that you can move in, move your furniture out of the way and get ready to have some fun and get some exercise!
Clothing you can dance in, runners, water bottle.
